I like the variety of products and dependable delivery. I am converting a small resin lighthouse (<3 in tall) to one that slow flashes by cutting off top and re-constructing with parts from ball point pen barrel, LED and misc.hardware. A lot of work for something totally frivolous, but that's what makes it fun. I'm new at modeling but it's a nice distraction from serious-minded stuff. Nice job with your website.

I've use Evan Designs for a good number of years and passed on their site to many Facebook modelers. Their offerings are well made and stand the test of time. Many builds require final sealing and builders loose the access to LED replacement. Have never had a failure once ED's LEDs were installed. Great device as well!

Running o-scale model railroad pre-war and post-war meant lighting was always an issue. I scratch build my own O scale model train structures and have been using Evan's Designs LEDs for several years now and they add a whole new level of realism to my projects . They are already ready to go so they can be used and I dont have to worry about resistors or if they will work with my structures. They even work with a 9volt battery for a mobile display if I want to move them. Now I'm working on a 1/48 scale B-17 and going to light it up with there new air craft lighting board for the strobes and navigation lights. This I'm not building from scratch but it's a huge challenge but I have buildt a few of these before about 20 years ago so I know how cool they can turn out if done correctly, but with lights? WOW that's going to look absolutely amazing. I cant wait and plan to post pictures on this site. One more very important thing. Actually probably the most important is the customer service at Evan's designs is the BEST. Something you just dont see anymore. David has spent more time talking to me to make sure my order is right and what I want and doesnt rush me. He has even answered his phone and helped me when he wasn't at work. Who does that today. That's committed. If I have a problem it's taken care of not next week not tomorrow. That day. Also there prices are very reasonable and shipping is free if you order a minimum of like $35. Even if you dont it's only like $5.

I've been buying pre-wired LEDs from Evan's designs for a while now. Excellent work, really reasonable prices, SO amazingly simple and easy to use. If I couldn't get LEDs from Evan's, I wouldn't bother to light my models.

I`ve been using their products to add lighting to my Many F-16 model builds and I am Extremely pleased with the results. They have been adding new types of LEDs to their offerings and these work well with effects like Tail Strobe Lights,and various Cockpit lighting as well as Navigation and Landing Gear Lights

I chose the warm white in all three sizes. I ruined one kit (I think I glued it to death!) The send time was the charm. The kit was easy to install in the small roombox that houses my project, it works, and the switch (which I mounted on the outside back of the box is easily turned on and off without having to see it. All-in-all, I don't think you can beat these kits for the price.

I purchased your Brickyard system so that I could make some retaining walls for a small hill with rail tunnels inside it, I had tried to make some out of Oak bark but my attempts failed miserably. I used the random cut grey stonework in 1:76 scale and printed out and glued to cardboard from a breakfast cereal packet to stiffen the printout, I think it has turned out ok.

I haven't taken any photo's yet as there is still more to do but I am happy with it so far.

The only addition to this set of walling styles I would like to have had included would be a few styles of roofing tiles and slates to make a very useful set into an excellent all purpose set of printouts.

You guys are great! I can make things that are a fraction of the cost of the big manufacturers. Only suggestion is to have things (discounts, special offers, etc) available for people who choose not to be on facebook. No discount is worth having my personal data sold/utilized by an unworthy company.

I really like the battery strap with switch that use 9 volt batteries. I use it with various sizes of Chip LEDs for lighting small room boxes. Much easier than having to plug into a power supply!

I model HO scale marine lights for the Cape & Islands RR club at Centerline Hobbies. This includes navigation buoys, lighted rock piles, jetties and lighthouses. I use Evans LEDs, battery snaps, switches, connectors and other products. I have an engineering background and I could cobble together these lights on my own. I would rather spend my time on building the models. I keep a supply of Evans products on hand to save time and stay focused on doing what I enjoy most - building models, not electronics.

One trick I’ve learned to achieve balance with LED’s is to install warm white next to a cool white bulb. Usually one of each, but sometimes 2 cool and one warm. It takes the yellow haze out of the room I’m wiring/lighting.

Building model kits is a new hobby for me. I have an engineering background but I quickly realized that soldering tiny little smd LEDs to magnet wire was not very much fun. Who knew? I am so glad I found Evans Design. The prewired smd LEDS and the miniature connectors are well made and can even help simplify ambitious lighting projects.

I enjoy building plastic model kits and whenever I see a chance to add some lighting to them-I check the Evan Design web-site since it has so many LED colors and sizes to choose from. I also appreciate the low shipping/handling rate. I really bothers me with the other on-line hobby sites that charge near nine dollars to ship a small order.

I bought a fire Pico LED light set to use in a figure display. I know nothing about model lighting, but I didn't have to! Everything I needed was in the kit, and it works amazingly well! Before I found Evan Designs I was buying lighting LEDs from a local electronics store or from eBay. I was reading a post from Bob Martin at The Nautilus Drydocks about lighting the Disney Nautilus. I found the Evan Designs website and since then I have bought almost all of my LED lighting from Evan Designs. I have used the Mega, Nano and Pico in model lighting because the wires, resistors and LEDs are assembled. All I need to do is put them in place and power them. I purchased the 1/18 police car light kit a few years back, it was so easy to install. I would recommend Evan designs to anyone lighting models.

I drilled a small hole in the roof of my n scale Tichy water tank, inserted the bulb and cemented it in place. It works and looks great. All of the structures on my layout have Evan Design lights with more to come. I am a little short on electrical knowledge but Evan makes it easy. Great product line.

I needed some flashing LEDs that were small enough for plastic name badges, and which did not require external electronics to flash them. These LEDs were perfect for the application, and they can be operated from two-3volt watch batteries in series, which can be mounted on the back of the badge. Exactly what I needed.

Great lights. Smaller than I expected. Used the realistic FIRE light for the DIY DIE HARD ORNAMENT. Gives the ornament a great LIVING ZIPPO LIGHTER affect. Used the WELDING lights to give my airsoft loadout an ELECTRICAL SHORT CIRCUIT on a piece of gear on the back of my plate carrier. I am still working on options for the KNIGHT RIDER lights. But I only regret not buying more. Shipping was fast and I definitely plan on making more purchases.

Very impressive siren! I was concerned about it being "9v" as my rc cars are 7.2v, and step-down power through a bec from there. i was able to get it hooked up on my 1/14 scale radio controlled Adam 12 car by mounting the switch to a servo and tapping it at the board for rx voltage. Works beautifully.

Thanks to Evan Designs, they made my layouts come alive. I have constantly called them and described what I was trying to do, and Evan has always been spot on. He even made special Nano lites for my cell towers. He suggested putting sequencers down my airport runway. whoa, what a difference. You can’t go wrong using these guys!

The fire led's work great as do the other led's I purchased for lighting buildings, also great quick service from Evan designs, even received a phone call to make sure my order was what I wanted.

I was sent a replacement LED without asking! I was able to replace the one with the broken resister. I included a picture of my project, a string of square, porcelain lamps.

Amazing customer service and shipped with speed. I've custom lit 3 models with their lights so far and have 3 more planned. Modeltrainsoftware is a great resource for model makers to add that extra wow factor to your models. I had a light's resistor come loose and they immediately sent me a new replacement light and tube to repair the broken one. I recommend them to any model builder in my youtube videos.

Great prices and exactly what I am after for lighting.

I used the led's in a series of small ceramic lamps (2 3/4 in 2 3/4 in box shape) made of translucent porcelain. These were strung like Christmas lights with 2 chips per lamp. They worked great except one wire separated at the resistor. I kinda/sorta got it reconnected, but it is intermittent.
