I am so glad that I found this website. I have been able to add lights to almost everything in a detailed Christmas Village that I have built. All of their items are easy to use and the website itself has a lot of useful information on how to choose the correct lights and how to install them. This is my go to place for LED lights. I just recently purchased some lights, battery attachment, switches, and a board. I have to say, at first I didn't know what I was ordering as I am a true novice to this experience. I wrote to the company and got nice feedback from the owner. I was able to discuss what I want to do with my model and the owner came up with a PO (purchase order) that I could do online and finish my ordering. It not only went through smoothly, it also came quickly. The owner is very nice about helping and very informative. I am now a loyal customer.

The order was filled and shipped the same day and I received it just a couple days later. Great service! I have not tried all of the LED lights that I have ordered but the ones I have tried is very good quality with excellent wire and electronics. I had ordered a couple of flashing warning LED (3 sequential lights) and it is cool to see. I purchased the LED holding wax and it does a very good job of holding down the LED's in place. I also made several buildings and a smoke stack using the brick software from the 'BRICKYARD software and good quality photo paper and the results were very good and realistic. And thank you very much for Evans Design railroad scale cards. These cards have been valuable with the design of my railroad layout, buildings, and other items. I am sure I will be ordering additional items in the future.

Used to light up an opal & ammonite display -- worked great - the fineness of the wires makes them virtually invisible & the wax holds them in place discretely & perfectly.

I used a pair of these in a Marx 1998 diesel after figuring out how to do directional lighting with the Marx motor and it works perfectly! I have used a few of these LED's in other Marx Locomotives where a regular bulb would burn too hot and potentially melt the plastic.

Just discovered this company and bought my first light kit with 3 LED lights. Not too expensive compared to a pricier lighting system that I bought previously. Easy to set up and hook up, but be sure to watch the video on the website on how to do it and it will be easy to do; otherwise, you struggle a little with it. Battery powered LEDs are the only way to go for lighting miniature models and Evan Designs makes it easy. I am buying again and lighting up more of my HO model railroad buildings.

The LEDs were as described and they arrived in a timely manner. They work very well for my O Gauge train structures without the heat and wider gauge wiring needed for conventional lights. Would recommend to anyone that has a structure that needs to be lit.

Just what I was looking for to make The Terminators red glowing eye. Just taped mega red light to middle of a pair of sun glasses (on left side like in movie) and with battery cell unit wired in and taped to side of sunglass frame able to make a glowing red light shining from sunglasses. bought some of these little flashing LED lights to hook up under the hood of my cars to deture rodents from nesting and chewing on the wires of my new car. The draw is so little and they are pretty bright in the dark, so for only a couple of bucks,I thought I would give it a try. After the first week, seems to working.

I changed the heAdlight on my Lionel diesel to a bright white led headlight looks so real and bright, also installed a red led as a taillight on the rear of a Lionel passenger car bright and red very realistic looking. The parts were shipped ivery fast and price is reasonable

I'm a potter and was working on a "special" project, a submarine, which I wanted to incorporate lighting into it. I stumbled upon Evan Design's website, and was both amazed and the wealth of info/products and overwhelmed with the choices -- no personal background in working with the LED's. Dave and I corresponded as well as talked over the phone -- very, very helpful! As of this post, the clay sub is presently "in progress" of being fired, so I am unable to comment on the final results related to the LED installation.

I discovered Evan's designs a few years ago, and it's been a game changer. Everything is pre soldered, and ready to go. It could not be any easier. I love the Fire and welding kits, they look incredible. I always recommend them to various modelers I talk to. Not every project I do requires lighting, but they make it incredibly easy when it does. The shipping is usually very quick, even though they're located a thousand miles away.

A few years ago I discovered Evens Designs in my quest for a scratch-built model ship the Golden Hind. I wanted to be able to add lights to her in order that we could enjoy looking at her moor hours of the day, hence turning my little model ship into a very nice night lamp. To make it even nicer I choice ole of there AC power packs and also a remote control to pot the whole thing together.

With the help [ Evens Designs] they put together all of the items that I needed. This all went together very easily, much to my surprise and also at a very low price. Much lower than I had previously figured.

I am in my second year of a Plank on Frame model ship the Oliver Cromwell, a 1777 American Privateer that I am also adding Led Lights from Evans. This ship will be completely finished on one side and with a number of cut-outs on the other side. Thanks to Evens again for putting to gather all of the items needed for this task. They have done a great job and I recommend them very highly for all of there help.

I love adding lighting in unexpected ways in my Halloween Folk Art, like the little light up lantern as seen in the photo. Evan Designs products are perfect for doing just that! I used Evans Designs led lighting several years ago to light the inside of a tram. Recently, I needed some very small leds for a N scale station buildings to replace the plastic mouldings supplied for entrance lights. Evans Designs to the rescue with Pico leds. Excellent products.

I have made multiple purchases over the years for various diorama and Halloween projects and have never received less than excellent service and products. Everything works and is well labeled, and it gets to me fast.

I accidentally missed a voltage drop down for one of the lights I was getting, and the next day I received an email asking if it was a mistake. I confirmed it was and they took care of it! Absolutely will be shopping here exclusively.

I haven't installed the flashing 1.8mm led's yet, but based on the other products I have order from you over the years, I'm sure they are what I'm needing. I really like the led's that have the attached harness. It makes using them for everything, loco head and rear lights, building interior lights, etc. very easy to use. I'm in the process of building a 36 inch model of a Great lakes Ore Boat, HO Scale, which will have Evan Designs led's used throughout. These led's are the best I have ever found for modeling projects.

I’ve been puzzled by the new DCC technology and adding prototypical lighting to my collection of HO scale locos and passenger cars. I had purchased a few packs of the Evans LEDs from the hobby shop, but still was not sure of what I had. So after installing a few in RPO and baggage cars I decided to call Evans. I learned a lot more talking to the lady. I purchased several several more different combination and single lights. I had a Walthers ATSF 8-2-2 Pullman sleeping car and had put people in the seats in each compartment. So knowing from experience that the lighting can vary in each separate compartment I purchased the 12 LED string with one bridge rectifier and resistor which fit across the top of the men’s lounge with the double wire with LEDs wound back and forth placing one LED in each compartment or bedroom. The warm white LEDs were a bit bright. So I used Evans idea of using paint to to darken them at different intensity with acrylic primer grey. It looks great! Only two solder joints were required with the 12 LED string. I used HO rail joiners to solder to the 2 wires, then slid the joiners onto the Walthers spring steel electric contacts that refuse to take solder. I’ve been puzzled by the new DCC technology and adding prototypical lighting to my collection of HO scale locos and passenger cars. I had purchased a few packs of the Evans LEDs from the hobby shop, but still was not sure of what I had. So after installing a few in RPO and baggage cars I decided to call Evans. I learned a lot more talking to the lady. I purchased several several more different combination and single lights. I had a Walthers ATSF 8-2-2 Pullman sleeping car and had put people in the seats in each compartment. So knowing from experience that the lighting can vary in each separate compartment I purchased the 12 LED string with one bridge rectifier and resistor which fit across the top of the men’s lounge with the double wire with LEDs wound back and forth placing one LED in each compartment or bedroom. The warm white LEDs were a bit bright. So I used Evans idea of using paint to to darken them at different intensity with acrylic primer grey. It looks great! Only two solder joints were required with the 12 LED string. I used HO rail joiners to solder to the 2 wires, then slid the joiners onto the Walthers spring steel electric contacts that refuse to take solder. Customer service is wonderful! We ordered various lights and remote control for a costume. The mega was the brightest and would have been perfect for our needs (theater performance of Gypsy). However we decided the wiring might not be sturdy enough to sew into the costume and hold up to sweat and movement, so we had to return. This is a wonderful company. I would love to see them expand and offer waterproof wiring/tubing/taping (pre-wired) able to withstand excessive human movement, along with infrared remote options that don't require a transmitter to be in line of sight. There is a great need for it, and I'm sure they would get a lot of business because other options are very limited on the web.

I wanted to light up an Ecto-1 toy that I installed in my Ghostbusters pinball machine. These LEDs were perfect and the final build looked amazing! The LEDs were easy to work with, and the build quality was excellent. The wiring was strong and well-connected with heat shrink tubing. I would definitely buy again!
