Introducing our brightest LED yet – The Mega! An excellent choice for illuminating entire rooms or buildings, these LEDs are not only compact and flat for easy mounting but also incredibly bright.
Measuring 5mm x 5mm and a mere 2mm thick, these SMD-style LEDs come pre-wired with 8 inches of red and green superfine magnet wire. We've meticulously taken care of tolerances, ensuring these Mega LEDs are ready to connect to your power supply hassle-free.

"How many can I run at once?"
These super bright LEDs draw more than any of our other LEDs, close to 22 milliamps each. So check your power supply to see how many milliamps it lists. A 1000 milliamp supply can run 45 or so Megas, but likely you will not need that many!
- A 3 volt AA holder can run 1-65 Megas
- A 9 volt battery snap/switch can run 1-20.
- Our 3 Volt and 12 Volt power supplies can also run up to 45, and the 2 Amp versions can run 90.
"Can the Super Bright Mega LEDs be run along with other LEDs from the same battery or power supply?"
Yes the Megas can be run right alongside all of the other sizes of LEDs on the same power supply.

I have been working on a Holiday display window and have gotten a lot of fun LEDs to incorporate

I appreciate the system Evan Designs has set up in that I never really know how bright my LEDs are going to need to be. So being able to experiment with how many LEDs I need to light the scene, and mix and match between colors, sizes & brightnesses without needing to do resistor math makes it possible for me to get the lighting right.
For my 1:16 Star Trek: TNG Jefferies tube diorama from balsa wood, I was going to be very limited in how many lights I could place. The 3 wall sconces were the only real lights on the original set, and I would have to embed the LEDs themselves in the UV resin sconces themselves. I was worried they wouldn't provide enough light, so I just ordered a whole bunch of the brightest LEDs on here. Fortunately, 1 of these mega LEDs per wall sconce turned out to be enough. In fact, the one that points straight out at the viewer is so bright it left little spots in my eyes when I looked directly at it. So I put about 4 layers of tracing paper over it to tamp down the level just a bit, and that worked fine. The other 2 are original strength.

The only thing I would change is to get a day white color instead of only either the blue-ish white and the warm white. Though in this particular diorama, warm white is exactly what I needed.
