Description

Awesome fire effect! Very easy to use, guaranteed!

Add a fire to your Model Train Layout, to your Firefighter or Police Diorama, or your Dollhouse Fireplace or patio. Nothing to assemble, you just provide the power, have a fire model!

The Fire Kit is a combination of 3 LEDs: a flashing red, a flashing orange, and a solid orange. The secret to the fire effect is the different flash rates giving a random effect. You get a ready-to-use pack of 3 LEDs, battery not included.


LED Sizes

To make a campfire, trash fire in a barrel, small brush fire, or other small fire, we suggest the Pico or 1.8mm fire option, since those size LEDs are easier to hide under scenery. Read Tips on making a fire scene for more details.

Use the 1.8mm AC/DCC option for a great addition to the Firebox in your steam locomotives.

For larger scale fireplace fires, or building fires we like to use the 5mm Fire Kit. For structure fires, where a whole floor or more of the building is engulfed in flames

  • we use 2 or even 4 packs of the 5mm Fires to get things really looking lively!
  • Also, line the inside of your building with Aluminum Foil (where the foil cannot be seen from the outside) to help throw the light around even more!

These Fire Kits are ready for either 3 Volt DC, 5-12 Volt DC battery or regulated adapter, or 7-19 Volt AC/DCC/DC operation.

Animation is Fun!!!

I added two sets of the "Fire LED Kit" to an O scale 3D Printed Wigwam Burner (sawdust burner). I drilled out the side panels at the edges to simulate rusting areas and age. I built a 3D Printed tree to mount the LED's (adjustable positioning). It was a gift and it was very well received!!!

Fire LED kit

This is a GREAT, smart, simple solution for adding fire to a clock/fireplace piece I have from the 1950’s. It looks fabulous! Original rotating drum/light no longer worked and the old wiring was suspect. I originally bought this as battery powered and am now adding a 12 Volt DC power supply to run the fire continuously. I was unsure of the right power supply so I called EVAN DESIGNS and was thrilled to talk with a knowledgeable, helpful, pleasant person. Thanks for a great experience all around.

Fantastic lights - even better customer service

I am so impressed by this company. The lights are so fun, and so easy to use (get the LED Wax they sell, too, so helpful!). The first item I got was this fire light, and it had a wiring issue. Evan Designs worked with me over email to identify the issue, and they sent me a new one without any issue and in a short timeframe. Absolutely wonderful. Customer service 5 stars!

My Experience with Evan Design

Would have been five stars but one of the units was defective. Yet given the disappointment the response after requesting a replacement was prompt no questions asked, arrived in a few days; nice! Technically works great, adds a lot of realism and the next level of detail to my HO scale ash pit.
