Motion Sensor for Turning on and Off Your LED Projects
Share this Product
Turn your LEDs on with Motion! Our motion sensor takes 3 volt - 12 volt input and can run up to 30 LEDs.
In tests, the round white sensor "ball" can detect motion up to 2 or even 3 feet away. The sensor keeps the lights on for 15 seconds if it does not detect motion. We found just being near the sensor was enough to keep the lights on until we walked away.
This is a great way to have your projects light up when you walk up to them or even walk by! And have them turn off automatically when you leave.
Dimensions: The sensor is
- 15mm Diameter
- 14mm High
There are 4 wires, 2 input wires from your chosen power supply and 2 wires to go out to your LEDs. All wires are labeled for easily adding to your project.
The input wires are black and white. Your power supply wires are black and red. You will connect black to black and white to red. The output wires are red and yellow. Your chosen LED wires are red and black. Connect red to red, yellow to black. It's a lot to remember, so we have labeled the wires with very detailed stickers.
Why have a switch on the battery if the motion sensor is a switch?
The white switch is on/off so if it is left in the on-state it will not affect the motion sensing. The motion sensor will always turn on with motion. So the white on/off switch is a more permanent way to turn off your project if you need it.
