1/87 scale Kenworth
"The kit was a toy I found in a yard sale. Its from around the mid 1950s. A 1/87 scale Kenworth. I wanted to try to get 35 lights in a small truck, I only got 33.
The 20 lights around the top of the bunk and cab are fiber optic. Along with the 2 fender poles that light up green, there are 4 red tail lights, 5 lights in the bumper and 2 clear headlights.
The lights above the fuel pumps also light up, this is going to be part of a on going project. At this time I'm making a rank trailer with maybe 15 working lights, for the white truck." ~ John H.
The 1/87 scale Kenworth model truck is illuminated by various LED lights, including warm white, green, red, and orange LEDs. Warm white LEDs are used as headlights and tower lights. Green LEDs and Orange LEDs are used at the front bottom, while orange LEDs are placed on the side of the container. Red LEDs are used as backlights. This setup demonstrates how different LED lights can enhance the realism and visual appeal of model scenes.
