I downloaded a file but I cannot see everything in the screen capture?

This can happen for several reasons

  • There might be imported images. You need to have version 1.6.11 for imported images to stay with a downloaded file. Also the user uploading a file for sharing needs to have version 1.6.11 for their imported images to stay with the file. Get your Model Builder update here: Update
At this time imported .gif format files are not coming along with other formats, this will be fixed in the next release.
  • The uploaded file has the Brickyard plug-in. Brickyard offers 20 additional brick patterns that do not overlap with the brick and stone in Model Builder. If the uploaded file has Brickyard brick or stone and you do not have it, those sections will appear blank. Get the Brickyard plug-in here: Brickyard
  • The uploaded file has the Graffiti plug-in. Graffiti offers 60 unique Graffiti images that can be used with Model Builder. If the uploaded file has the Graffiti plug-in and you do not have it, those sections will appear blank. Get the Graffiti plug-in here: Graffiti

I see a file I like but it is not my Scale?

You can open any file found on these pages in your scale. Download the file and save it to your computer. Open Model Builder in your scale. Then select "File" > "Open" and browse to the file you saved. Click "Open" and Model Builder will ask if you want to open in the new selected scale. There is more detailed description of this under the "Tips" tab.
