Platform supply vessel
Hello everyone at Evan Designs.
I wanted to send you a pic of what I had used your leds on.
I used some 50+ leds for all the lighting on this ship and was very pleased with the end results.
I used everything from the 5mm to the chip leds.
I used the 5mm for the main spot light 12v, chip lights for the flood light12v, 1.8mm for running lights, marker lights, and superstructure (cabin) 6v.
Was really amazed at how brite these lights are for such low consumption, they can even be seen during daylight hours.
It was a vessel that ran over in europe for some time,
mostly as a supply vessel carring tractor trailers.
The model itself is remote control.
It has independent switchs for the lights.
You can run the running lights, spot light, and flood lights seperately.
It has also working twin radar beams on the forward mast as well as a working bow thruster.
The model was done in 1/100 scale,
most of which was scratch built.
In the water she handles just like the
real ship, quite surprised by how well it handles.
Since using your leds on this ship there has been alot
of talk on using them. Alot of advantages compared to
the regular grain bulbs.
I have started my next build already and will
be ordering alot more from you. Thank you for such a great product!!!!
