Metal Gooseneck Lamp

Often referred to as a Barn Lamp this style dates back to the earliest days of industrial lighting. The barn lamp originated in agriculture, giving the lamp it's name.

Today gooseneck lamps are often positioned above doors in industrial, agricultural, and residential settings.  A Gooseneck is also great to illuminate storefront signs and awnings.  All around us, Gooseneck lamps can be seen in Shopping Plazas and Coffee Shops around the world.

Our Small Lamp is a nice size for HO 1:87 scale, and also works well in S Scale 1:64th.

Our Large Lamp is sized for O 1:48 scale buildings and also could be used for Garden Scale (G) too.

We made our metal gooseneck lamp with an adjustable escutcheon mounted on the long shaft. You have ample shaft so you can choose how far out to position the light fixture from your wall.

The Lamp's shade is not fixed, it can be adjusted to the angle that gives you the best lighting on your subject.  Point the shade straight down or angle it back to light up the building's side or store's sign.  When you are finished, secure the shade in place with a little glue.

Add some goose neck lamps to your model today!

  • For 3 volt use you are all ready to go, just add to your 3 volt battery or power supply.
  • For 7-19 volt AC/DC/DCC we have a bridge rectifier/resistor harness you can attach to the light before you connect it to power. The harness comes separate as shown in the photo above. This is so you can install the lamp from the front of the building, and attach the circuitry behind the wall after the lamp is in place.

"What do I need to run these?"

A customer has informed us he used a #65 drill bit for the hole to accommodate the shaft.  We hope this is helpful!

Goose Neck Light

These are awesome, realistic looking goose neck lights. Being made of metal makes them that much more realistic, easily painted black. I have mine powered with a 12 vdc. power supply, and I control them through a switch. I recommend these to anyone looking for realistic looking goose neck lights.

The Lamp is Perfect

This gooseneck lamp is scale, easy to install, and works great. I like the option of being able to order it as just a standalone item that I can wire in series or with the rectifier/resistor that allows it to be run from DCC track power. The positionable shade is also a nice touch.

goose neck lights HO Gauge

Had three incandescent lights on a structure where two bulbs were burned out . Evans Designs came to the rescue with their gooseneck lights . Now won't have to worry about burned out lights agains

Wow

I don’t remember how I stumbled upon Evan Designs but I am really glad I did. I build miniature light houses and miniature houses. Lighting has always been hit or miss.
There is so much information on this site I feel reasonably confident I have chosen compatible items. My lighting projects will be more professional and I am excited to get started on my projects.
Thank you!
