This blacksmith circuit comes with a 9-volt speaker, a one-minute audio chip, and a 9-volt battery snap with a micro switch. There is no noticeable overlap, and it includes a variety of blacksmith sound effects. Check out the video on this page to hear the realistic sound track.

'Realistic Blacksmith' sounds

I purchased the Blacksmith Audio Circuit with the standard speaker and so far I am very happy with it. If anything, it might be a little loud as the train will not be passing by to overshadow the ''noise'' all the time. But that is OK. If necessary I will either position it inside the blacksmith shop in such a way as to cut back the sound "a bit" or baffle the sound mechanically. As for the sound, I have never been around a living, working blacksmith so I can only say that the sound sounds very realistic to that of a forger on TV. In all I think this was an excellent purchase.
