This is small.  I use 80 lb. Soft Gloss Photo Paper.  It is about as heavy as photo paper goes and eliminates the need of laminating the image on a heavier board.  Not present are the tabs I use for hot gluing, so do not cut out image all the way to it's edge.  I made sand and dirt piles by using a base of spackle, spraying them with Elmer's spray glue, sprinkling with the sand or dirt, and then spraying again.  This keeps the sand and dirt in place on layout.
